Cruisin in Amish country

Darin and Rastko made a trip out to Lancaster, PA to visit the outlet malls. Lancaster is Amish country and it's not uncommon to see a horse and buggy on the highway or flying down a side street. It is beautiful farming country with many Amish stores and farms. They use animals versus machinery in tending to their farms and fields which is neat, and like taking a step back in history. After the guys came home with their arms full of packages, I decided I needed to visit the outlet malls too! They have almost every store you could think of, Calvin Klein, Nine West, Nike, Banana Republic ... unfortunately I came home empty handed.

We came across this parking spot and tied up horse and buggy outside the Sony store. We thought it was pretty cool that there were specific parking spots for the Amish. On the way home we passed a buggy with 4 people inside and 3 guys on roller blades hanging on to the outside. Felt sorry for the horse who was pulling the buggy and 7 people, but it was cool to see.

Molly has discovered that she enjoys water out of a people glass versus her cat bowl, maybe it's because her bowl has dog bones on it. She will actually sit on the coffee table staring at you until you bring her a glass of water which she not only drinks out of, but also uses to clean her paws. Darin has started using water bottles as Molly will help herself to anyone's drink.

Christmas this year was fabulous. All the Tulissi's were in Calgary, so we had a great time catching up and visiting. Time went by very quickly and unfortunately I didn't have a chance to see everyone I would have liked to, but I hope everyone had a great holiday!

Well, I finally got around to posting a wedding photo. Jadine's husband Dermot, a professional photographer, was kind enough to send us some pictures. The Royal York in Toronto, where we got married, is behind us.
